Back to Montreal this weekend for one last Model UN conference (at least as a delegate). They’re kind of dorky but always fun. I’m on the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia as a judge, and I even get to wear a robe! Hurrah.

a little late: movies from 08
Here are the movies released in 2008 that I saw at some point: The good Wall-E: I love the interactions between Wall-E and Eve. Really didn’t like the fat humans though. I have a hard time imagining that all people would succumb to that sort of vegetative state. Maybe the rest were all killed off by the robots though, who knows! The flying through space scene where Wall-E uses the fire...

blast from the past
I’ve spent most of the afternoon looking through old stuff we have in the basement: photo albums, school things, etc. I remember writing this story in third grade, and thinking it was really good. In my early writings, I loved to talk about food all the time. It’s pretty obvious in this story—you’d think I was either starving or really overweight as a kid. Anyway, I hope...

I miss Pushing Daisies. I got the season one dvds for Christmas, and binged on that season, followed by all the season two episodes. I love watching tv show episodes one right after another—they’re so much better that way, rather than spaced out over weeks, with constant commercial interruptions. It always seems that I find tv shows I really like just after they’ve been cancelled...

Well it’s been a little while, but I guess I’ve been busy (sort of)! There was all the usual busyness of Christmastime, and then I was supposed to head off to Israel on December 27th to do some work for my thesis. But, after some foreshadowing of what was to come in Gaza, we decided to postpone the trip. Hopefully I’ll actually be able to go at some point, after the whole crisis...
